Visit to the Library of the Society of Friends

Euston Road, London - MONDAY 30TH APRIL, 2 - 4.30 p.m.

Interested in historic collections, retrospective conversion projects, importing bibliographic data? This visit offers the chance to see how the Library of the Society of Friends (Quakers) has faced the challenge of creating its own online catalogue. Large collections of rare-book materials, in-house classifications as well as resources for children have required various strategies including collaboration with ESTC and Quaker libraries abroad. The visit also includes an overview of the Library's history and a brief tour of its satellite lending library.

No charge but places are limited. To book, email Andrew Watson: a.m.watson@ucl.ac.uk
