Welcome

The Catalogue & Index blog is the new online presence of the Cataloguing and Indexing Group's journal, Catalogue & Index. It will enable us to keep our members and the wider comunity up-to-date with news about cataloguing, indexing, metadata and taxonomy design and CIG events and activities.

We hope that the blog will also become a way for CIG members to communicate and discuss the issues that are important to us. Initially, you can get involved by commenting on the posts here, or by contacting one of the editorial team (see navigation bar for details). This facility is available to anyone registered with Blogger, although comments will be moderated. Over the next few weeks, we will be posting details of how, as a CIG member, you can become a CandI blogger. Like all social software, this will work best with us working on it collaboratively.

Watch this space for announcements about the next issue of C&I, events, and links to articles and posts on other websites. The quickest way to find out what's happening is to subscribe to our feed - more details here.

And now, for the legal bit. The views expressed in this blog are those of the posts' authors and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of CILIP, its Cataloguing and Indexing Group, or the employers of post authors.
